Focal ón Príomhoide Welcome to the St. Colman`s N.S. website.We are very proud of our school,our staff and especially our pupils. The present school building was opened in 1972 following the amalgamation of the old boys and girls schools in Cloyne.The Principal from 1972 to 2001 was Mr. Michael O'Brien.The school was renovated in 2002.The present building has five classrooms,a library,an office/staff room,an assembly hall and two smaller rooms.The school is changing and developing along with the rest of Cloyne.The enrolment is presently 166.A major extension to the school is planned for 2006-2007. St. Colman`s is a co-educational,catholic,primary school. We strive to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy and secure atmosphere for all children. We address the intellectual,spiritual,physical,moral and cultural needs of pupils.While St. Colman`s N.S. is a school with a Catholic ethos, we have due recognition for other religions. Teachers and parents are partners in the children's education, co-operation and communication between have and school is essential and encouraged in the educational process.Cloyne has a long tradition of sport in particular Hurling and this continues to be encouraged in the school.
