First Holy Communion took place on Saturday May 14th in St. Colman’s Church in Cloyne. It was a very special morning for the 2nd class pupils and their parents. The children were a credit to their parents and to their teacher Miss Hanley.
Noel welcomed everyone to the ceremony. The First and Second Readings were read by Diarmuid and Zara. The responsorial psalm was sung by Kieran, Laura, Grace, Áine, Noel, Daniel and Zara.
Prayers of the Faithful were read by Gavin, Kieran, Andrew, Grace, Leah and Bartek.
Pupils from 6th class played their tin whistles during the offertory procession as Melissa brought up a candle, Laura brought a picture of the Good Shepherd, Kiara brought a religious workbook and Ciarán S brought a plant. Áine and Alex brought the bread and wine to the altar.

Míle buíochas to Mrs. O Keeffe and the pupils of 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes for the lovely choir and Mr. McGrath who accompanied the choir on the organ.
